WHAT’S UNDER MY BELT

My career at CNN en Español lasted more than 18 years. I formed the team that placed the "first letters" before the official launch in March 1997, and from the newsroom, I attended all kinds of breaking news and informational moments that sealed the 20th century and those that marked the present century until 2015, when I decided to change course. Those were years of muscle and frenzy, of rigor and quality of information, of great professionalism, and of learning. I was a senior writer and a segment producer for the prime-time newscast, which led me to win an Emmy in 2013. In addition, I wrote and produced shows for sports and entertainment.

This track record, along with more than 25 years of work experience in the United States, has allowed me to develop solid writing skills that go hand in hand with a complete command of the English language and the regionalisms of Latin America. This knowledge is what makes the difference when it comes to accurate translation and localization work.


WHAT I DO

My ability to understand different topics offers solid support for any task of translation, localization, proofreading, writing, and narrative development, whether it is technical, academic, journalistic, educational, or creative content.

I work in coordination with the marketing, digital, press, and creative departments for the creation, development, and launch of campaigns, informative, educational, and advertising texts, promotional events, communication services, audiovisual production, and script development.

As a published author and scriptwriter, I also offer exceptional support in storytelling, character construction and development, ghostwriting, and narrative adaptation.

TRANSCREATION 

More than 25 years of work and life experience in the United States have consolidated my strong writing skills and a complete command of the English language. In all cases where the original source needs a particular functionality, I do extensive etymological research to understand the reason behind certain terminology. In other editorial content, educational, entertainment, advertising, or corporate texts, I offer more than a translation: I can shape the language creatively and according to the requirements of the brand and the industry to which the material is directed.

LOCALIZATION

A long career in a major international television network in Spanish that required a rich and neutral language to integrate the regionalisms of Latin America supports this type of skill. This knowledge and interaction with various cultures in the region are what make my localization work accurate and effective.

COPYWRITING

More than writing, copywriting is an art. The mastery of combining keywords necessary for the purpose of marketing, advertising, and search engine optimization determines the vision and quality of copywriting.

My job as a copywriter is to create rich and efficient text through synthesis and amazing marketing fluency.

CONTENT GENERATION

Creating content means materializing something that did not exist before.

Its purpose is based on selling something, even if it is a story. Today, the demand for content is frantic and its production is hyper-saturated, so the content generator must not only align with the main motivation of a certain audience for the message to reach its goal. It has to be original.

As a content generator, I want the message to stand out above the information jungle so that it captures the attention of the recipients and makes them want to receive more of that content.
